Specialized Risk Solutions

Precision coverage for
complex risk.

Specialized insurance programs engineered for the demands of modern enterprise — property, liability, and emerging exposures.

What We Do

A captive insurer built for enterprise-scale risk

Confideras is a captive insurance company that assumes risks associated with a privately owned and operated group of affiliated companies. In some cases, we may also participate behind the scenes by reinsuring certain risks of people or companies that do business with our group — for example, tenants, contractors, or customers — but only when specific requirements are met, including that the coverage is issued by a licensed insurer and then reinsured to us.

Our ownership intends to expand operations through increased limits on proposed risks in the future, or through license expansion for additional lines of coverage.

Third-Party Reinsurance

How we support third-party coverage

Sometimes a client, customer, tenant, contractor, or related stakeholder may need insurance connected to their business with our Group. We do not issue policies to those third parties directly.

Instead, where appropriate, a licensed insurance company may provide the policy and may then transfer (cede) some of that risk to Confideras through a reinsurance arrangement.

How the process works
Step 1

Existing Relationship

A real, ongoing business relationship must exist between our group of companies and the third party — such as a tenant, contractor, or customer.

Step 2

Licensed Fronting Insurer

The policy is issued by an insurer licensed in the jurisdiction where the risk is located. Coverage is provided directly by the fronting carrier.

Step 3

Reinsurance Transfer

The fronting insurer may then cede a portion of the risk to Confideras through a reinsurance arrangement, completing the coverage structure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Confideras and our captive insurance programs

No. Confideras only supports our group of companies and its affiliated companies. We do not offer public quotes or sell policies to unrelated businesses or individuals.

Not directly. If a tenant, contractor, or customer needs coverage connected to their work with our Group, that coverage (if available) is provided by a licensed insurer. Our captive may participate through reinsurance in limited cases where there is an existing business relationship and the policy is fronted by a licensed insurer.

Confideras is structured to support large enterprise operations within our group of companies and its affiliated entities. We provide captive insurance and reinsurance solutions tailored to the unique risk profiles of our group’s diversified portfolio of real estate, construction, and development operations.

A captive insurance company is a licensed insurer created and wholly owned by a parent organization to insure the risks of that organization and its affiliates. Captives allow groups to retain underwriting profits, access reinsurance markets, and implement tailored risk management strategies rather than relying solely on commercial market insurers.

In certain situations, a licensed insurance company may issue a policy to a third party (such as a tenant or contractor) and then transfer a portion of that risk to Confideras through a reinsurance arrangement. This only occurs where there is an existing business relationship and the policy is issued by a licensed fronting insurer.
